Senior Android Engineer – Contract

• Location: Mascot, Sydney (Hybrid)
• 3 days onsite per week
• Android Dev - Kotlin, .Net & RestAPI
• mPOS

About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join a high-performing team delivering strategic Android and mobile device initiatives across enterprise environments.

Projects include:

• Mobile Point of Sale (mPOS) Proof of Concept
• Expansion of enterprise productivity applications onto Android
• Logistics and pallet tracking mobile solutions

Key Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on Android development using Kotlin
• Design and present Android solution architecture
• Work closely with Architecture, Delivery, and third-party vendors
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and engineering best practices
• Support device testing, validation, and production readiness
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-region collaboration (AUS & US)

Required Experience

• Strong Android development experience (Kotlin)
• REST API integration experience
• Exposure to .NET environments
• CI/CD tooling experience (Jenkins preferred)
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture and secure coding practices
• Agile delivery experience using JIRA and Confluence
• Experience working with vendors and outsourced teams

Desirable

• Mobile POS (mPOS) experience
• Logistics or supply chain application exposure
• Enterprise mobile application migration experience
